For IGP3 competitors, the stakes are even higher - the championship serves as the qualifying event to secure a spot on the Australian team for the 2025 WUSV World Championship, October 1st - 5th in Slovania. Entry Eligibility Criteria: - Handlers must be current members of the WGSDCA and belong to an affiliated WGSDCA Club. - First-time handlers are required to pass a written test, which will be provided at the event. - Dogs entering IGP levels must have undergone HD/ED assessment. If the dog has not been assessed or the scores fall outside the range deemed acceptable for breeding by the service provider, a veterinary fit-for-purpose statement is required. - IGP3 Entry: Open to German Shepherds holding an IGP3 title awarded under the WGSDCA.

Entry Eligibility Criteria: - German Shepherd Dogs only - Minimum age of 2 years. - WUSV recognised Pedigree - HD/ED scores within the normal range as determined by the service provider. - Dog must have a endurance title and at least an IGP1/IPO1 - show grading of at least "Good." - Dogs born on or after 01.01.2022 must have passed the ZAP-W/WB.

The Judge
Welcome back, Mrs Heidi Theis
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Heidi Theis back to Australia for our 2025 WGSDCA Championship! Last year, she left a lasting impression as our Breed Surveyor, and we are excited for her return to judge our IGP competition and conduct the Breed Survey. Mrs. Theis is committed to preserving the natural working drives, obedience talent, strong nerve, and balanced temperament of the German Shepherd Dog. In 2018, she was appointed USCA National Breed Warden and Chair of the USCA Breed Advisory Committee. She is one of the few individuals worldwide licensed as a performance judge, breed surveyor, and conformation judge. Mrs. Theis has been breeding under the kennel name ‘vom Theishof’ for 35 years. She has trained and titled 7 dogs to SchH/IPO/IGP3, 6 of which she bred herself. Most of the females in her breeding program are personally trained, titled to IGP3, shown, and breed surveyed by her. Her standout achievements include Hemi vom Theishof's IPO3, IGP3, FH1, FH2, and IGP-FH titles. Mrs. Theis has placed in the Top-10 at several USCA regional IGP competitions and earned 59 SchH/IPO/IGP titles (including 18 SchH/IPO/IGP3), several FH titles, and numerous endurance titles. On the conformation side, she has achieved 40 KKL1/KKL2/KKL/Ang titles, including the prestigious Sieger Show VA rating with VA-10 Ax Redox SchH3, KKL1a. She also won first place at the USCA Sieger Show in 2009. We are honored to have Mrs. Theis join us again and look forward to have her officiating the 2025 WGSDCA National Championship.

Eligibility and Travel Requirements for Dogs Competing Internationally
Performance Criteria
-
Dog must make a minimum score of 240pts at the 2025 WGSDCA National, with at least 80pts in each discipline.

A WUSV-recognised pedigree & valid HD/ED scores are mandatory
-
For dogs born from January 2020, a minimum show grading of "Good" is required.
Import/Export Regulations
-
Dogs must have a valid Rabies vaccination certificate and a Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test (RNATT).
- All standard vaccinations must be current.
- Import and export permits are obtained through DAFF
- Overseas blood testing is required to get the dog back home.
Other notes

Plan to spend a minimum of 3 weeks overseas to allow sufficient time for blood results to come back.

You must use a local state veterinarian to endorse the documentation prior to the dog's return to Australia.
